Lady of the Woods
Unfortunate ones are those who’ve met this character, to say the least
Very few men have lived to pass it on, this tale of the grim female beast
Her front was a beautiful woman
Her back was the bark of old pine
Her eyes like pools worth to drown in
But a tail hung down from behind
Lady of the wood
The bringer of mens misery
Lady of the wood
Your myth’s outlived centuries

The hunter found her on his trail when he was tracking for deer.
A charcoal-burner found her by his stack
now both have disapeared
Her front was a beautiful woman

Her eyes like pools worth to drown in
But a tail hung down from behind

Your myth’s outlived centuries
Like a streak of lightning. Her gaze pierce into your mind... saying:
"Follow me to a world without sorrow and leave everything behind"

"I have nothing If I do not have you
My life feels empty and cold
I will follow you as far as you'd like
You have turned my coal into gold”
And they follow like dogs on the leach
Far into the wild, far from mankind's reach
In the darkest parts of the forest, there they roam
Restless striders with plain emptyness as home
Lady of the wood
The bringer of mens misery
Lady of the wood
Your myth’s outlived centuries
Lady Oh sweet lady, our hearts are all yours
Lady Oh wicked lady, an eternity of remorse
My life feels empty and cold
I will follow you as far as you'd like
You have turned my coal into gold”
And they follow like dogs on the leach
Far into the wild, far from mankind's reach
